One of the questions you have about the Top of the Rock is probably its entry price. Well know first of all that you have two options. The first is to purchase a simple Top of the Rock ticket, and the second will be to use your New York Pass or New York CityPass to access it.
The first option will cost you 29 dollars per adult, $ 18 per child between 5 and 12, and $ 27 per senior. A price a little therefore high, especially if your budget is somewhat limited.

My little tip will be to go there either very early in the morning, when it opens, or at the end of the day, during the sunset. The first option will allow you to enjoy more or less calm moments, when the city is slowly waking up. And by choosing the second, you will have the honor of seeing the city bathed in incredible colors, and therefore of taking unique photos!
The history of Rockefeller Center
Built in the late 1920s by the American family of the same name, Rockefeller Center is a huge Art Deco-style building. It is located in the Midtown district, in the heart of the Manhattan borough. It covers 9 hectares, which makes it a very impressive building to see absolutely!

What is the Top of the Rock?
The Top of the Rock is undoubtedly the main attraction of Rockefeller Center. This is theobservatory of the Comcast Building, located on the 70th floor of the latter. This observatory was built in 1933 and renovated in 2005, and is spread over three floors.
It also houses a restaurant, if you ever want to dine while enjoying an incredible view, as a couple ... And the wifi is available free once there. So take the opportunity to send great photos to your friends back in France!
Note, however, that tripods are not permitted for the observatory. So leave yours in your hotel room, and settle for your camera only!
What else can you find at Rockefeller Center?
Finally, once there, I advise you to take the opportunity to visit the rest of the attractions offered by Rockefeller Center.
Indeed, the building offers a few other activities, such as a exposure, entitled "Mezzanine". The latter includes photos on the history of the famous Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Center in general.
Also, in the lobby you will find a whole bunch of shops and restaurants, so the Nintendo and Lego stores, which I really recommend! This is a good place to make small souvenir gifts for example.
Finally, if you find yourself in New York in winter, do not miss the skating rink that sits at the foot of Rockefeller Center. The latter is located right next to the huge Christmas tree. How do I get to the Top of the Rock?
