What to do in staten island zoo
There's always something new at the Staten Island Zoo, something for all tastes and ages. Impossible to get bored between aquariums and reconstructions of tropical forests. Anxious to be up to date, the zoo warns you on its website of any arrival of a new animal. The new residents are sometimes surprising: bears, pandas and lemurs come first in the plebiscites.
However, the Staten Island Zoo shines above all with its event calendar. Each animal was given a day of celebration. You can spend several days there thanks to summer camps and fall trekking programs. Pleasure in perspective for young and old.
The staff are great and the grounds are always very clean. The animals seemed to be well taken care of. The reptile house was really nice. It was nice to see so many school children there learning about the different species of animals.
It is a very nice little zoo. Perfect for a day out with young children, there is even a small children's farm they can take on horseback rides.
Good to know: In the staten island zoo you can have access to one of the largest collections of reptiles in the country
