Hamilton's story
As seen above, the Hamilton musical is based on the life of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the USA. This comedy was written and composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, an American composer, actor, lyricist and rapper.
The show begins with a recap of Alexander Hamilton's childhood. Coming from the Caribbean, Hamilton is an immigrant who arrived in the United States thanks to the support of Aaron Burr, vice-president. Full of ambitions, Hamilton becomes a statesman and befriends three revolutionaries. Together, they only want one thing: sacrifice their life for their cause.
As the Revolution unfolds, Hamilton asks Washington to give him command, but the latter refuses before giving him some time later, reluctantly.
After the Revolution, Philip, Hamilton's son, was born. With Burr, they returned to New York to finish their studies and become lawyers. But the relationship with the two men deteriorated. In 1787, Hamilton was elected delegate of the constitutional convention and he was hired as Secretary of the Treasury by Washington who became president.
Years pass and Philip, Hamilton's son, is now an adult. The latter challenged George Eacker to a duel, but he did not survive.
In 1800, the presidential election took place during which Jefferson and Burr were tied. Hamilton backs Jefferson who will win the presidency. Upset, Burr will decide to challenge Hamilton to a duel. So who will win? What will be the consequences and the continuation of this fight? What will become of Eliza, Hamilton's wife?
